Inplay Inter-League Challenge Trophy
Inplay Challenge Trophy
To encourage competition between the various leagues within Kent, Inplay Ltd (a bowls supplies business now closed) donated the Inplay Challenge Trophy. This trophy was first competed for at the end of the 1990/91 season and is played for annually. 3 teams of triples from the winning teams of the competing leagues play each other, generally in September, at venues hosted by each league in turn. Originally the competition was between the Maidstone & District, Malling and South East Kent leagues. In 2000 the competition was extended to embrace the Swale and West Kent Leagues.
The 2017/18 season's competition was held in Kemsley Village Hall on Saturday 8th September and is being organised by the Swale League. Results will be confirmed in due course; South East Kent will be hoping to defend the title they won last season. ***Due to error on the scorecards no results have been confirmed***
The 2018 / 19 season's competition was played in New Line Learning with all the above leagues represented; after an excellent days competition the South East Kent league regained the title. The South East teams represented by Wye, Newchurch and Smarden. They won 8 games and dropped 4 games throughout the day. The Maidstone league was runner up.
