KCSMBA Updates

New Kent Home Venue from January 2022!

Kent County SMBA will be moving into Mote Park IBC (Maidstone) from January of 2022.

For this season we will be hosting our County Competitions and additional one day competitions at the new venue. For future seasons it is anticipated that home county matches and other events will also take place at Mote Park IBC.

This is a huge opportunity for KCSMBA as the new venue will offer inside storage, catering facilities and a more comfortable environment generally. The Committee would like to offer our thanks to Ernie Hill (Chairman) of Mote Park IBC and their Committee in working with us to find suitable solutions to allow this move to happen.

We hope this will be a new long term home for Kent and hope our members enjoy the improved facilities on offer.

Kent Premier and A Team Play (10/10/21)
Kent Premier played Norfolk at home and away in the new format. Michael Doorey led the home team and West Kingsdown while Richard Stagg led the away team in Norfolk.  The home side, got off to a strong start, but with a comeback from Norfolk after the lunch break the score finished a respectable 15-9 win at the unknown home venue.
The away team started much slower but after a strong finish by the Fours in session 4 reduced the score to also 15-9.
Final result was an overall draw of 24-24. Both Kent and Norfolk still have Surrey to face in the final league game.

Kent A hosted Cambridgeshire. At home they also played at West Kingsdown with Allan Plowman leading the side as the new A Team Captain. The ever strong Kent A team proved to be to strong for the away side and delivered an impressive 23-1 win.
Whilst the Kent A Team away were led by team manager Peter Richards. Even though the played away they still dilvered an amazing resultat 22-2. Peter will undoubtedly be very happy with his sides first game in the new format.
