Kent domestic fours

Ashford indoors bowls club held the Kent county domestic fours tournament on Sunday 7th April 2024.


The main cup saw the team made up of Bev Dillon, Fred Webb, Mick Brigden & Paul Johnson face the defending champions of Linda Wynn, Danny Hogben, Richard Stagg & Jody Frampton. After Jody’s team taking the first 3 ends winning 1 an end, Paul’s team came back to take the lead 6-4 going into the last end. Jody’s team picked up a 3 to win the match and remain champions for the second year running.


Moving onto the plate final, the team made up of Pauline Friel, Lyn Porter, Phil Porter & Tony Friel faced Hilda Davies, Marian Fry, Bob Craig & John Fry. After a very strong start Tony’s team carried out a 13-4 victory to win the plate final


Would like to thank Nicky Tresadern for another brilliantly run competition, a thank you to Darren Allard for filming the plate final and Nicky for filming the main cup, lastly thank you to the players that

helped set up and put equipment away
