National competitions


Thursday 11th April saw Tunbury and Kent bowlers Jody Frampton and Tim Harwood compete in the national singles. Jody topped his group winning all three games earning 6 points plus 37 shots, unfortunately Jody lost in the last 16 to Norfolk 8-4. Tim, came up against some solid bowling in his group, and despite playing well, finished 3rd, which means he did not qualify for the knockouts


Friday 12th April saw the team made up of Richard Stagg & Jody Frampton along side Danny Hogben & Michael Doorey compete in the national pairs. Both teams topped the group winning all three matches. Richard & Jody lost in the last 16 to Shropshire 9-8. Danny & Michael made it all the way to the semi finals, needed 3 on the last end to make it a tie for an extra end but only picked a 2 up, unfortunately losing 8-7 to Cheshire


Saturday 13th April saw multiple Kent teams compete in the national fours. Chloe white, Mike leal, Darren Allard & Gary Allard top the group winning 2 games and drawing 1 unfortunately loosing to Suffox 15-6 in the last 64. Linda wynn, Rob berry, Nicky tresadern & Micheal doorey topped the group winning all three matches but lost in the last 64 to Norfolk 7-6. Tim Harwood, Danny Hogben, Richard Stagg and Jody Frampton finished second in the group with 2 wins and 1 loss, reaching the last 16 and losing to Dorset 7-5.


Sunday 14th April had multiple teams competing in the national triples. Chloe white, Darren Allard and Gary Allard drew a very tough group not making it through to the knockout stages unfortunately. Danny Hogben, Richard Stagg & Jody Frampton finished second in the group winning 2 matches and losing 1, making it into the knockout stages, losing in the semi finals 9-8 against West Midlands. Rob Berry, Nicky Tresadern & Michael Doorey top the group winning all 3 matches, making it into the knockout stages, losing in the semi finals 7-3 against Dorset who later on won the national triples final.

This was the first time Kent has 2 teams that had made it into the semi finals, congratulations to who was involved
