Short Mat VS Long Mat

Kent Short Mat vs Long Mat – Friendly Match Report

 Sunday 25th January

Kent Short Mat players travelled to Ashford for a friendly fixture against the Long Mat players, enjoying an afternoon of 2‑wood triples across both Long Mat and Short Mat disciplines. The atmosphere was relaxed, competitive and full of good humour, with tea and biscuits at half‑time adding to the spirit of the day.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along and took part — it was a fantastic event and hopefully the first of many more friendly fixtures to come.

 Overall Result

Kent Short Mat 202 shots

Long Mat 145 shots

A strong performance across the board from Kent, who came away with a well‑earned overall victory.

 Standout Team of the Day

The only team to win both their Long Mat and Short Mat games:

Chris Taylor, Lesley Bruce & Paula Scales

Keep your eyes peeled for details of the next friendly — after the success of this one, it’s sure to be a popular event.
