Father and Son win plate pairs competition

Alan Harwood and Tim Harwood competed in the Falcon open pairs in Essex on Sunday 2nd June 2024. Coming up against some tough opponents in the group stages saw the pair finish 4th qualifying for the plate knockouts.


Round 1

After a very good game with brilliant bowls played by both sides, the Harwood’s came away with a 9-8 victory against Dave Bignall and Lynn Bignall


Round 2

Harwood’s win 8-4 against Derek and Chris Coates


Round 3

Harwood’s win with an impressive 10-0 victory against John Kyle-price and Ed Kyle-price


Round 4

Harwood’s win 15–7 against Beverley Stevenson and Alan Hare


Round 5

The Harwood’s faced the team of Vanessa Wright and Steve Puttock. Keeping the great form going Alan and Tim picked up the victory of 9-4 to win the Plate final
